Dr. Vassiliev, the expert with more then 20 years of experience in thermal sciences such as heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, two phase compact heat pipe based heat sinks/heat exchangers. In 1993, he graduated the Belorussian State Politechnical University, Mechanical Engineering department and got the engineer diploma. Since 1994, his professional career is started in Luikov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute of National Academy of Sciences of Belorussia. In 2004, Leonid Vassiliev have defended his thesis titeled “Sorption Heat Pipe the new heat sink for semiconductor components” and in the same year he got his PhD diploma. Dr. Vassiliev have wide internation collaboration expirience.For the period between 2005 and 2011 years, he worked as the member of several academical as well as industial R&D groups in Asian, American and European regions. Since 2012, Dr. Leonid L. Vassiliev became the Head of Porous Media Laboratory National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. He published more then 80 technical papers in international journals and refereed conferences.Also his name is mentioned as author in 16 national and international patents. Dr. Vassiliev is the reviewer of several high reputation international journals ( International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, International Journal of Thermal Sciences, Applied Thermal Engineers, Journal Heat Pipe Science and Technology, Journal of Thermophysics and Heat Transfer) and member of International Society of Bionic Engineers.
